The Alaska Afterschool Network is excited to support its 5th cohort out-of-school-time programs in the Youth Program Quality Initiative (YPQI). Programs are led through a three-phase process to (1) Assess their program by collecting observational data, (2) make a Plan with customized goals based on their data, and (3) Improve practices through implementing goals with coaching and training supports. The purpose of the YPQI is to engage Alaska’s out-of-school-time programs serving youth grades K-12 and increase participating youth’s access to positive development experiences, resulting in better youth outcomes.
