Lily Tegner

AmeriCorps Program Specialist

Lily grew up in Phoenix, Oregon and attended college at the Oregon State University in Corvallis, where she graduated with a BA in Chemical Engineering in June of 2020. Lily developed a passion for STEM education while earning her degree, and in 2021 she applied to the AmeriCorps VISTA program to work in STEM expansion at the Alaska Afterschool Network, hoping to make out-of-school STEM learning accessible to youth of every background. After spending a year at the Network as a VISTA, she took on the role of AmeriCorps Program Specialist, where she will work to support other AmeriCorps members in their service as they provide high-quality afterschool activities to programs across the state of Alaska.
