Healthy Lifestyles Facilitator Training

Healthy Lifestyles is a 10-module, hands on, youth focused curriculum that trusted adults and facilitators help youth think about marijuana within positive youth development settings. Healthy Lifestyles is specifically designed for afterschool providers working with middle schoolers between 5th-8th grade. Each lesson includes engaging activities and interactive materials that encourage youth to consider for themselves what marijuana is and how it can impact their own life.

This training is for participants interested in implementing the Healthy Lifestyles curriculum in their afterschool program. The interactive, two-hour facilitator training will provide a comprehensive look into the entirety of the curriculum, and deep diving into each module, ensuring facilitators are confident and comfortable implementing Healthy Lifestyles in their programs.

All programs will be provided an activity kit complete with all materials for each lesson. If you are a new participating site to Health Lifestyles, please contact Anna McGovern (amcgovern@alaskachildrenstrust.org) at least a week prior to your facilitator training date to have the curriculum and materials kit mailed to you.
