Wildlife Adaptations for Survival: Change, Move or Withstand: Exploring the Alaska Wildlife Curriculum

Join the Alaska Department of Fish and Game's Wildlife Division and find out how you can turn Alaska’s great outdoors into a classroom anywhere and in any season. Field tested throughout Alaska and correlated to Alaska State Content Standards, The Alaska Wildlife Curriculums are designed for students in grades K-12, to explore Alaska’s ecology, wetlands, wildlife, and tundra through hands on, experiential learning in their own backyard.

In this interactive workshop participants will explore the free resources, learn how to plan, design, and implement a lesson, and how to modify for different age groups. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage in real time in an animal adaptations unit together.
